Doo Wop Architecture
The Wildwoods are home to the world’s largest collection of 1950s and 1960s-era resort motels! With loud colors, over-the-top neon signs, wacky themes, and unusual architectural features, the Wildwoods’ “Doo Wop District” is listed on the New Jersey state register of historic places and has been recognized by the National Trust for Historic Preservation – a must-see for any visitor to the Jersey Shore!

Doo Wop Experience Museum
Visit the Doo Wop Experience at Fox Park across from the Wildwoods Convention Center and see a fascinating collection of artifacts from the Wildwoods’ mid-20th century heyday. Learn about the history of the resort, its famous motels, and its role as an entertainment mecca in the 1950s! Plus: The Doo Wop Malt Shop serves classic ’50s-style treats like ice cream sundaes and floats, as well as snacks and sandwiches for lunch.
