CARIBBEAN “SAFE AND CLEAN” INITIATIVE

At the Caribbean Motel our top priority has always been, and will continue to be, your family’s health and safety.

We’ve updated our already thorough cleaning procedures and implemented additional measures to ensure your health, safety, and comfort as part of the Caribbean’s “Safe and Clean” initiative.

These procedures and measures encompass the mandates of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention as well as those of local authorities. As these authorities update and enhance their protocols, ours will evolve in sync.

We are confident in the ability of our staff to welcome you back safely with exceptional, personalized service that you’ve always known and trusted in a safe environment.

CONTACTLESS CHECK-IN

We can avoid many touches and expedite check-in if you will simply call before you arrive. On arrival, park and go directly to your room where you’ll find freshly sanitized room keys and on-site parking pass on the dresser. Just call prior to arrival with credit card and vehicle data (make, model, license plate number).

Because only one family may be in the Motel Office at a time, contactless check-in ensures you won’t need to wait in line!

GUEST ROOM CLEANING

The goal is to minimize contact between guests and the cleaning and maintenance staff.

Caribbean housecleaning staff will thoroughly clean and sanitize all surfaces prior to check-in and alternatively every other day. We will use anti-viral disinfectant that meets EPA standards.

The maid will leave extra bags for trash and recyclables for each day of your stay. Please place trash and recyclable bags outside your room each morning for our maintenance staff to pick up and remove.

The maid will also leave a bag for towels. Please place used towels in the bag and leave it outside your door for pick up. Staff will deliver a bag of clean replacement towels.

LAUNDRY

Staff will launder bathroom towels, washcloths and mats daily in an anti-viral solution and set dryer on “High Heat.” Wildwood Linen will launder bed linens. Staff will launder bedspreads in an anti-viral solution.

PERSONAL HYGIENE AND SOCIAL DISTANCING

We ask that you please:

  • Wash hands upon entering your room.
  • Bring and wear face masks outside your room.
  • Avoid touching your face.
  • Practice sneezing and coughing etiquette.
  • Observe social distancing at outdoor cafe area, upper sundeck, pool deck chaise lounges, guest grills, pool.
  • Bring extra beach towels to cover chaise lounges and breezeway chairs.
  • Monitor the health condition of each family member.
  • Bring extra hand sanitizer and wipes.

KITCHENETTES

For the 2020 season, we will supply kitchenettes with disposable dishes, glassware, and flatware. You may want to supplement by bringing some of your own.

COMMON AREAS

At several times during the day, staff will clean luggage cart handles, ice machine surfaces, stair railings, gates to pool, outdoor shower handles, outdoor table tops, and outdoor chair arm rests.
